All students are allotted $30 per academic year for printing. This is enough money for 500 sheets of paper. ITS manages this service.

McCain Library offers two ways to print if your allocation is running low: (1) add to your print balance by stopping by the Check Out Desk, speaking with staff, and authorizing payment with your credit or debit card; or (2) pay-per-copy option. To utilize this second option, follow the steps below:

  1. Locate the two visitor computers facing the Check Out Desk in McCain Library.
  2. Do not use your network ID and password to log in to these computers. If they are not logged in and ready for use, please see a staff member at the Check Out Desk.
  3. You can access the document you want to print by inserting a USB key in the slot on the back of the terminal or opening the document from a web-based source, such as Google Drive.
  4. Select print and choose the Scottie Firestar option to send your document to the printer.
  5. Inform a library staff member at the Check Out Desk that you have sent a document to the printers from the visitor computers.
  6. They will use the guest printing card to release your document from the printer and let you know how much you must pay for the printout.
  7. You will pay for your printout at the Check Out Desk. McCain Library accepts cash and credit cards (for amounts over $2). A small convenience fee is charged for the use of credit/debit cards.
