How can I download, save, or export items that I like in a Discover GALILEO search?
On the Discover search results page, there are several ways to download, save, or export articles. Here are the best ways to download, export, or save a single article or multiple articles:
To download, export, or save a single article:
- Locate the bookmark icon and the vertical ellipse icon (three vertically aligned dots) to the right of the article title.
- Click on the bookmark icon to save the results to the Saved section of Discover. When the user is ready, they will be available to review, download, add to Projects, or export.
- Click on the vertical ellipse icon to access three options for saving, exporting, and downloading content.
- The first option is to “Save to Project.” Items saved to “Projects” will be accessible inside the database during future Discover sessions.
- The second option is “Share,” which allows the article to be exported to Google Docs or MS OneNote.
- The third option is “Download,” which will allow an article to be saved directly to the user's computer or to a USB stick.
To download, export, or save multiple articles:
- In the search results, locate the check box to the left of the article title.
- Click the check box next to an article of interest.
- Once the box is checked, a new menu of options will appear at the top of the results.
- The “Download” icon, the “Save” icon, and the “Share” icon are available from the new menu.
- Click the check box next to each article of interest in the results.
- When done reviewing the results, return to the menu at the top of the results to either download, save, or export the items checked.
